Hey, Wissahickon-lover. Consider this your formal invitation to the 2026 Biennial Photo Contest, hosted by Friends of the Wissahickon, Woodmere, and Wissahickon Trails.

Whether you’re sporting a telephoto lens or a camera phone, we’re opening submissions for your Wissahickon photography (from the last three years) on April 1!

The link to submit your photos will go live on our website in just four short weeks. You’ll have until October 15 to get up to four of your original photographs on our judges’ desks.

In the fall, after deliberation from our panel, we’ll announce the winners for Best in Show, Best Phone Camera Submission, and the top picks for our four categories: Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer.

You and your social networks will get the chance to weigh your vote on Facebook by “liking” your faves for the People’s Choice category.

This is your opportunity to get out, explore the park, and capture its beauty for the chance to win cash prizes, a Family Membership to Woodmere for two, and show off your work in person and on FOW’s social media.

Get one of these dates on your calendar to gather inspiration or even snap a few photos.

Did you know that you can also submit photos from any of Wissahickon Trail’s nature preserves or along the Green Ribbon Trail? FOW’s upper-watershed partner manages 24 miles of trail across 12 preserves in Montgomery County. Explore three of them at Wissahickon Trail’s upcoming hike.
