Position Description: Development and Outreach Assistant

Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) is seeking a full time Development and Outreach Assistant responsible for gift and volunteer data processing to ensure accurate recording and reporting and to produce acknowledgements to donors and members. In addition, this position provides administrative support for FOW’s development and outreach staff and handles a variety of tasks outlined below, as well as other duties that may be assigned. Experience with Raiser’s Edge and the full Microsoft Office Suite is preferred. Reports to Development Manager.

Regular weekend and evening availability as well as reliable transportation is required.

Position Description: Volunteer Coordinator

Friends of the Wissahickon (FOW) is seeking a full time Volunteer Coordinator to facilitate and lead public volunteer work days on field projects including trail building, invasive removal, tree planting, litter cleanup,  as well as volunteer outreach and educational programming.  This position works a Tuesday through Saturday work week and often includes weekly evening hours.  The Volunteer Coordinator serves as the primary representative of the organization at our public volunteer events.  This position reports to the Development and Outreach Director and performs field work under the direction of the Project Director and in collaboration with the Field Operations Manager to ensure quality project outcomes. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for tracking and recording volunteer accomplishments and recruiting volunteers to complete tasks as requested by other FOW staff, as well as other duties that may be assigned. This is a both an administrative (70%) and outdoor (30%) position and the Volunteer Coordinator must be able to work outdoors on difficult terrain in all types of weather.

Regular night and weekend availability is required as well as reliable transportation.
