Position Description: Seasonal Field Coordinator

Temporary/Part Time: May 29 – December 22, 2018
Schedule: 30 hours Tuesdays – Saturdays
Salary: $20/hr

Position Overview
The Field Coordinator is responsible for maintaining, procuring and mobilizing equipment and materials for FOW park projects and carrying out the plans to completion. Working either alone, with fellow staff members or volunteers, the Field Coordinator independently plans and undertakes an efficient sequence of steps to successfully accomplish goals. This position requires a proven capacity to respond skillfully to changing circumstances and a great deal of initiative and resourcefulness. Knowledge and understanding of FOW programs, as well as full participation in organizational activities is expected. Record keeping, reporting and meeting preparation and attendance are integral responsibilities.

As a primary representative of FOW in the park, the Field Coordinator must genuinely enjoy engaging with the public, teaching, and leading volunteer groups of 1 to 50+ people. A detailed knowledge of the park, its trails, infrastructure, history, topography and landscape is required.
