Valley Talks Are Back in Session!
Take out your calendars, we have some big dates coming up that you won’t want to miss: our 2025 spring Valley Talks!
Switch up your midweek routine and join FOW and one (or all) of our acclaimed speakers at the Valley Green Inn. We’ll enjoy drinks and light fare on the patio and learn something new about the world around us. And did we mention it’s free?
To open our fabulous, four-part series, Bill Konstant, a career wildlife conservationist and co-author of the new book Jewel of the Wissahickon: Rewilding the Dixon Meadow, will speak about his new work, wildlife photography, and the Dixon Meadow Preserve on 4/9 at 6 PM in person at the Valley Green Inn and online on Zoom.
Next will have a chat with Jody Pinto, the artist behind the iconic Wissahickon landmark, Fingerspan Bridge among other public works across the world and galleries including PAFA, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Locks Gallery, Woodmere, the Guggenheim Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Museum of Modern Art, and the National Gallery of Art. Discover Fingerspan’s inspiration, design, and the passionate community members who collaborated to build and install this steel bridge on 5/14 at 6 PM in-person at the Valley Green Inn and online on Zoom.
This lecture is generously sponsored by Doug Schaller and David Barquist.
Can’t make the talks? We’ll post them to our YouTube channel in the week following the event.
