Thank you so much for supporting Friends of the Wissahickon and purchasing tickets for our 95th Anniversary Celebration at Erdenheim Farm on Friday, October 11, 2019. We are celebrating almost a century of conservation of Wissahickon Valley Park, at a significant green space that hugs the Wissahickon Creek in the heart of the watershed, while honoring individuals essential to the fulfillment of FOW’s mission. At this milestone event, FOW’s long-standing Wissahickon Award will be presented to Past President Cindy Affleck, the organization’s Founders Award will be presented to David Haas.
Parking & Ride Share Drop Off/Pick Up
The Party starts at 5:30! All party attendees must park or be dropped off at the parking lot at Mount Saint Joseph’s Academy at 120 W. Wissahickon Avenue, Flourtown, PA 19031.
Check-in and shuttles will be located at the back of the lot under the Friends of the Wissahickon tents. All attendees will be shuttled to and from Erdenheim Farm. Shuttles will run throughout the party. There is no parking or drop off available at Erdenheim Farm.
Persons in need of accessible parking and venue access should call the FOW office at 215-247-0417 to arrange.

Mica Tasting Dinner and Board Members Wine Basket
Sit back and relax while you enjoy this 6-course tasting menu for up to six people at Mica while taking in their peaceful atmosphere. Mica is a warm BYOB that offers creative dinning driven by what the season offers. Does not include gratuity and alcoholic beverages, but do not fret! Bring 10 wines supplied by our Board Members, including the 1986 Grand Cru Classe, which Wine Advocate says is “a magnificent example of Chateau Margaux and one of the most tannic, backward Margauxs of the last 50 years.”
Available Tuesday through Thursday at Mica’s restaurant.

Crested Butte Vacation Home
Relax in the comforts of a charming vacation home in Crested Butte. This 3 bedroom, 2.5 bath is in walking distance of both restaurants and a shuttle to take you to the ski resorts. Take time during the summer to relax with access to endless hiking, biking, and fishing. If you’re a thrill seeker, fly through the forest on a Zip line Tour or go whitewater rafting on the Gunnison River or Taylor River. Day on the Stream for Two!
Drive approximately 1 ½ hours from Chestnut Hill to McMichaels Creek, which has been managed by Pohoqualine Fish Association for 125 years and only fishable by members of the Fishing Club. Once at this scenic creek, you will meet your guide and stream manager, Ben Turpin. Spend your morning on the water fishing for Brown Trout, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Tiger Trout. Break for lunch and some refreshing drinks served stream side. After an afternoon session on the water, head home with pictures and stories to share!
Please bring your own gear. Available on weekday in May or June 2020—date picked to match schedules and weather/water conditions.

Beaver Creek Vacation Home
Take in Beaver Creek, Colorado in this beautiful 6,800 square foot ski house in a gated community. Wissahickon Experience
Be the first to experience the Wissahickon in a whole new way by spending an evening on the Red-Covered Bridge. Originally built in the early 1700s, it is the only covered bridge in Philadelphia today and the only one still standing within the boundaries of major city in the United States. Enjoy a tasting of 5 different wines poured by Moore Brothers for 18-25 people and listen to the sounds of the creek babbling beneath your feet. After your wine tasting, take in the sights and sounds of the Wissahickon at night with a dinner catered by Bacchus Catering.
