Share Something Sweet with your Friends this Summer

News // July 25, 2023

The Ice Cream Social is one of those rare events where we invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy something sweet instead of asking you to fill a contractor bag full of leaves. After all, we pride ourselves on improving the park so our community can enjoy it, in this case, with ice cream in hand.

Join us on Wednesday, August 9, at Historic Rittenhouse Town (208 Lincoln Dr, Philadelphia, PA 19144) from 3-5 PM for free ice cream and dairy-free treats from Chestnut Hill’s own Bredenbeck’s Bakery. The bakery will be donating a portion of their sweet treats to our Friends and park users. Thanks, Bredenbeck’s!

The event is free, but please register here so we can alert attendees of weather-related cancellations.

Come for the ice cream and stay for the family-friendly activities from our partners Let’s Go Outdoors and the Wissahickon Environmental Center. After all, a day in the park is always more fun with friends.

Our Ice Cream Social last year was a great success. With over 400 guests, clocking in as our largest event to date, it was truly one for the books. It was a perfect afternoon at the Woodmere Art Museum, spending time with family and friends, which is what summer is about.

We wait for summertime all year to take advantage of the warm weather and time away from work and school, our Ice Cream Social is in the spirit of enjoying these lazy summer afternoons that come and go too quickly.

We hope to see you there!
