Thank you for being a friend

Attend the Annual Members Meeting!

You are invited to gather with us in person at Valley Green Inn on June 6 at 6 PM to review the past year, elect members to the Board of Directors, and learn about upcoming projects and Friends of the Wissahickon’s plans for stewardship in 2023. We will also be joined by Jude Husein, the Director of State Advocacy for the Pennsylvania State Senate, who will speak to us about the importance of community support for green spaces.

Jude Husein is a passionate public servant and strategist, born in Jerusalem and raised in North Philadelphia. She serves on multiple boards, including but not limited to: Mayor’s Millennial Advisory Committee and She Can Win. Jude consults youth serving organizations to ensure they have a seat at the table and empower youth voice. As a former United Nations Youth Delegate, she has organized, implemented and executed various events across the City of Philadelphia to empower and uplift underserved communities. Jude is a trusted community messenger and advocates for all people through community organizing, coalition building and strategy.

Registration is required for this event.  Limited seats will be available at the Valley Green Inn and light food and refreshments will be served.
