Please join our Hybrid Fall Valley Talk: Talking Birds with Troy Bynum in Honor of Ruth Pfeffer
Tuesday, October 18 at 6 pm
Join FOW for our next Valley Talk as we welcome avid birder and wildlife photographer, Troy Bynum. Troy will present on fall migration in general and how the Wissahickon Valley Park plays a huge part in supporting birds during this time in providing rich resources for food and habitat. This Valley Talk will be in honor of Ruth Pfeffer, a longtime friend of FOW and owner of Birding with Ruth, who passed away in May at the age of 80.
Join the All Trails Challenge!
Hike, bike, run, and ride your way through the 50+ miles of trails in Wissahickon Valley Park – and support a unique urban green space as you do!
It’s simple: from August 22nd to November 29th, ATC Challengers make their way through every corner of the Wissahickon. ATC isn’t a race and you don’t have to be a conditioned athlete to take part – instead, it’s an opportunity to get back in touch with the beauty of the park. FOW members will be able to register for the All Trails Challenge beginning on August 22nd and get a leg up on the competition – while September 6th will be the official start for everyone else.
Meet up with fellow Challengers on the trails and at ATC social events – and get friends and family to support your challenge (and the conservation of Wissahickon Valley Park) to win fabulous prizes, FOW membership and some of the very best swag the FOW shop has to offer at the end of it. We can’t think of a better reason to get outside all fall!
