Leave No Trace Effective Communication Workshop

The Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, a national organization that teaches people how to enjoy the outdoors responsibly, is partnering with Friends of the Wissahickon to host a workshop on effective communication of Leave No Trace principles to the public. Walk away from this session with the tools necessary to teach others how to reduce impacts on our favorite outdoor places.

A sampling of what you will learn during this Leave No Trace Workshop includes:

  • Interesting skills to minimize your impacts when you’re in the great outdoors

  • The best methods to cook, clean, stay overnight, interact with other visitors/wildlife, and overall take care of the places you like to spend time outdoors

  • How to help others develop a sense of environmental stewardship

  • How to get more involved with the national education program
