Meet at Historic Rittenhouse Town (208 Lincoln Dr, 19144)
Anyone who’s driven on Lincoln Drive knows what a beautiful (and sometimes terrifying) road it is. It’s the only street in Wissahickon Valley Park that runs next to the creek, which gives some wonderful views of the southern section of the park. Being such a highly traveled road, however, means that there is often an excess of litter that eventually makes it’s way into the creek (which, of course, is a source of drinking water for over 350,000 Philadelphians). On this Saturday, we’re working with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation to close down Lincoln Drive for a much needed clean up!
