Wednesday Volunteer Service with David Bower
Meeting at Historic RittenhouseTown (see map here)
There is parking in several small lots around HRT as well as nearby street parking on W Rittenhouse Street.
Please note that there will be limited bathroom access during our service day.
Would you like to be part of keeping Wissahickon Valley Park beautiful and sustainable? Then join longtime Wissahickon steward David Bower and his dedicated team of Crew Leaders and Trail Ambassadors at Historic RittenhouseTown as we remove vines from our fences around the property!
All are welcome to attend, and no experience is needed. We encourage attendees to work within their own comfort level, and we always strive to accommodate needs on an individual basis. With that being said, this service day may include the following activities:
• Invasive plant removal: bending over, using long handled tools for cutting vines
• Litter clean-up
We provide gloves, tools, and instruction–you just need to show up! Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and remember to bring water with you. Detailed information and confirmation of the meeting location will be sent by email the day before the event. If you are hoping to bring a group of 5 or more people, please reach out to us first.
