Virtual Valley Talk: “Art and History of the Wissahickon”

The Wissahickon Valley’s unique beauty has inspired artists for hundreds of years! Join FOW Trail ambassador Diane Garvey and Woodmere Art Museum Curator of Education Hildy Tow as they discuss depictions of the Wissahickon from colonial paintings through contemporary art, and explore the particular significance it had to the Romantic and Impressionist movements as well as the wide variety of public art in the park.
Diane Garvey is a FOW Trail Ambassador, equestrian, environmental engineer, and Member of the Woodmere Art Museum.
Hildy Tow is an artist, educator and has been the curator of education at Woodmere Art Museum since 2013.
