The Andorra Natural Area is one of the most beautiful locations in the Wissahickon. It is home to the Wissahickon Environmental Center, Andorra Meadow, and a unique network of wooded trails. It takes a lot of work to keep this area beautiful and healthy. On this Saturday, we’ll be working in coordination with the Natural Lands department of Philadelphia Parks & Recreation to cut back invasive plant species within a large deer exclosure. This will be one of many steps leading up to a large scale planting of native trees and shrubs this fall.

No experience is needed. We provide gloves, tools and instruction – you just need to show up! Volunteer service Days are excellent, easy ways to help us take care of Wissahickon Valley Park. Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and bring a water bottle with you. Detailed information and the specific meeting location will be sent by email the day before the event.
