Sketching the Wissahickon with Jane Klein
October 6 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Relax into the pleasure of drawing outdoors with a group of like-minded enthusiasts. All that’s needed is a sketchbook, a favorite pencil and an appreciation for the beauty of the Wissahickon (and perhaps a towel or blanket to sit on). Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned artist you can take in the sounds of the water and the smells of early autumn without the expectation of turning your sketch into a finished work of art. Practical guidance will be provided to those who wish.
Distance: 1 Mile
Registration is required for all hikes so that participants can be informed of weather or other emergency cancellations. We ask all event attendees to bring a mask and mask up if a distance of six feet cannot be maintained during the activity. If you or anyone in your household are exhibiting COVID-19 systems, please stay home. More information is at fow.org/covid-19.
Unless otherwise specified, Trail Ambassador Walks may be on rocky, rugged trails that may be wet and slippery. Wear sturdy shoes or boots with socks. Long pants are recommended for protection against occasional poison ivy and possible ticks. Bring water and a snack if desired. Walks are cancelled in heavy rain or icy conditions. For more information contact Noah Kulak at firstname.lastname@example.org. Visit www.fow.org for updates.
