Earth Day 2023: Historic RittenhouseTown

Help us clean up Wissahickon Valley Park!

Saturday, April 22
9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Meet at Historic RittenhouseTown

Even though every day is Earth Day for us as FOW, we always love to do something extra special for the Wissahickon every April 22.  At this location, we’ll be showing some love to this beautiful site of North America’s first paper mill. We’ll be beautifying the grounds by removing litter and cutting back invasive plants. Come out to help us make HRT  cleaner, healthier, and more beautiful.

No experience is needed. We provide gloves, tools and instruction – you just need to show up! Volunteer service Days are excellent, easy ways to help us take care of Wissahickon Valley Park. Be sure to wear sturdy footwear and long pants, and bring a water bottle with you.

Detailed information and the specific meeting location will be sent by email the day before the event. For more information contact Amelia Marren at marren@fow.org.

Registration is full please sign up for one of our other locations.
