Numerous studies point to the health benefits of spending time in nature, and with more than 50 miles of trails, the Wissahickon is a great place to get in your daily dose of green. Join Dr. Ash (Ashvin Vijayakumar MD) for a morning walk in the Wissahickon to learn about how green space can help reduce your risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes, and some cancers, including breast and endometrial cancer, and improve mental health, mood, and sleep quality!
We will be meeting at Valley Green Inn on Sunday, September 25th at 9am for an easy-paced hike on Forbidden Drive. We will be going for approximately 2 miles total.
