Test your knowledge of the park’s 50+ entrances with this trailhead trivia. You might just find your new favorite route.
Mystery Trailhead #1
- This trailhead is named for not only the street it’s on, but also a geological feature in the park.
- The entrance gives direct access to Wissahickon Creek, as well as a large rock beach that stretches almost to the far bank.
- Upon the first quarter mile of trail from this entrance, you’ll walk under a massive bridge.

Mystery Trailhead #2
- One of the prettiest things about this trailhead has four legs and eats hay.
- Upon entering, you’ll pass one of the less famous white and green buildings in the park which functions as the homebase for some of the Wissahickon’s young stewards.
- This location is also accessible by SEPTA from a nearby major road.
Where am I?
Mystery Trailhead #3
- This is the most popular trailhead in the park- probably because you can pull right up to the entrance whether you live in Chestnut Hill or Roxborough.
- Look for a nearby historic bridge currently undergoing plans for rehabilitation by the City (one of two such bridge projects underway in the park).
- Also enjoy picnic areas and two Creekside trails!

- Students from a school near this trailhead enjoy access to the White and Orange Trails, plus their very own boardwalk.
- While Valley Green Road was closed off for the construction of the Lida Way Pedestrian Bridge, this trailhead was frequently used by our field staff and volunteers to get to our Orange Trail reroute.

- Nestled into a resident neighborhood, you can count on this entrance to have ample street parking.
- You’re immediately transported into the urban park scene as you walk under PWD water line.
- Don’t forget to say “hi,” to some froggy friends on your way down to the White Trail.
