Valley Talk- In-Person Registration

Empowering Philadelphia’s Parks with Alex Doty
Tuesday, April 11 at 6 pm at the Valley Green Inn

What can the next mayor do to create a great park in every neighborhood?

The past two decades have seen the creation and revival of great parks, like Bartram’s Garden and the Discovery Center, and historic capital investments through Rebuild.

However, funding for operations for Parks & Rec is absurdly low. We spend $50 per capita compared to $125 per capita in Baltimore or $176 per person in Atlanta.

Let’s get our next mayor to ensure there is a great park in every neighborhood!

Alex Doty is the Executive Director of the Parks & Rec Heroes Fund and has spent two decades advocating for great public space in Philadelphia, from Circuit trails and bike lanes to fighting for funding for Parks & Rec. Alex loves the Phillies, canal boats and Knoebels.

Registration is required to attend FOW’s Valley Talk  on April 11 at 6 pm at the Valley Green Inn.

Limited seating is available. This event will also be livestreamed via Zoom. Light refreshments will be available.
